Cold Brew at Home: The 12-Hour Method

Cold brew is the most forgiving way to make great coffee at home — no heat, no bitterness, just time doing the work. Here's the method we recommend for our Cold Brew Blend.

What you need

  • 60g coarsely ground coffee (sea-salt texture)
  • 1 litre of cold, filtered water
  • A large jar and a fine sieve or muslin cloth

The method

  1. Combine. Add the grounds to your jar, pour over the water and stir gently so every ground is wet.
  2. Steep. Cover and leave at room temperature for 12–16 hours. Longer means stronger — taste at 12 and decide.
  3. Strain. Pour through a sieve, then again through muslin or a paper filter for a clean cup.
  4. Serve. Dilute 1:1 with cold water or milk, pour over plenty of ice.

The result keeps for up to a week in the fridge, and the flavour only gets smoother. Our Cold Brew Blend was built for exactly this: bright citrus and fruit notes with low bitterness, even after a long steep.
